Intuitive software that makes it easy for students to enter and store patient encounter informaiton on their Palm. The solution offers a simple and efficient way to sync the data with our HanDBase desktop, for reporting purposes. Looking to transition to PDA system to track student patient encounters and generate fast reports on the fly?
HanDBase and the developers of Hand-Echart have partnered to bring you a complete medical student tracking system (MSDTS) that is easy to learn and use! The Hand-Echart database system was originally the vision of Chris Helopoulos, MS, PA-C, and Associate Director of Clinical Education at Barry University’s Physician Assistant Program. At its inception the goal was to design a system that was more efficient for students to enter patient data using new modern PDA devices.
Two years later the project has evolved from a basic database collection tool into a complete system capable of syncing the students data directly with a backend database program, like Microsoft Access, where a variety of reports can be produced quickly with the click of a mouse button. The premise of the Hand-Echart MSDTS system is simple-- make an affordable system for collecting patient data that is fast and easy to use, while being capable of consolidating all the data for reporting purposes.
Some people refer to these as electronic forms which are more efficient and accurate compared to traditional paper forms or index cards methods. Popup menu lists, auto-text defaults, fast search, auto date & time stamping, and linked databases are just a few of the features that make entering patient records a snap using the Hand-Echart system!
